Ein megageiler Übungshang, bei dem man sich langsam nach oben arbeiten kann. Mit fast 100 Meternhöhendifferenz kann man sogar schon richtige kleine Flüge unternehmen.

The basic training (Grundkurs) from Flugschule Oberbayern (FSOB) offers 1-year access to the practice slope (Habacher Hang). During my training, I had more than 40 starts & lands in the Habacher Hang (minimum requirement is 15 times). On Habacher Hang, I learnt to do the 3 phases of the starts (Aufziehphase, Kontrollphase, Beschleunigung) well and landed safely on my both legs! They sound simple, but to master the technique certainly takes time to practice. In FSOB you get the chance without time pressure to master them. If you want to improve your technique, as long as the Petrus (weather) allows, you can come to practice. A tip for anyone who might pause flying for some time, FSOB also offers “Grundkurs Premium” with life long access to Habacher Hang! Very recommended as well!

Another thing I like a lot about the basic training by FSOB is the ticker. Because not everyday could be good weather for training, Knut uses the Ticker to announce twice per day (during basic training weeks). It is very practical for people like me to arrange the program alongside the work.

Knut is a highly qualified trainer and puts a lot of value in the critical moments of the paragliding, starts and lands. (it also reflects on his philosophy of how he constructs the basis training). During training, he gives you very constructive feedback right away on the radio so you know what and how to improve. He expresses them in a positive manner that you feel you would like to try it again (and climb up the slope with sweat…). His instruction is very effective so you can quickly gain better control of your glider. Whoever values the starts and lands during paragliding, Flugschule Oberbayern is your best choice!!
